FAQs on Product Selection, Quotations & Support
Product Selection
Where should I start if I am new to transformer selection?
Start by confirming the transformer's system role, voltages, frequency, load and installation conditions. Then confirm the destination country and connection group, choose the construction type and compare performance series only within that product family.
How do I choose between an oil-immersed and dry-type transformer?
Oil-immersed units are generally suited to outdoor distribution duty, while cast-resin dry-type units are generally preferred for indoor, oil-free installations. Fire and environmental requirements, space, cooling, enclosure and maintenance access should also be reviewed.
Does a higher transformer series number always mean a better choice?
No—a higher series number is not automatically the better choice. Series should only be compared within the same construction, voltage class, capacity and applicable standard. The guaranteed no-load and load-loss values for the quoted configuration govern the final comparison.
Quotation & Orders
What information is needed for an accurate quotation?
Provide the system ratings, load or capacity, quantity, application, installation conditions, destination and any available project files. For transformers, also include the connection group, tap range and impedance requirements when known; these inputs define the configuration, test scope and document requirements.
Can equipment be customized to our SLD, drawings or technical specification?
Yes—we can configure transformers, switchgear, ring main units and compact substations around your SLD, drawings or technical specification. The review covers electrical ratings, structural interfaces, protection, component availability, applicable standards and manufacturing feasibility, with the agreed configuration recorded in the quotation and approved technical documents.
Is there a minimum order quantity or a free sample?
MOQ depends on the equipment, rating and any special components, tooling or documentation; free samples are generally not available for large electrical equipment. State the required quantity so we can confirm the MOQ and any paid sample or pilot-unit arrangement in the quotation.
Which standards and certificates can be supplied?
We can supply ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management-system certificates, plus available CQC product certificates, type-test evidence and agreed test records. Product documents are confirmed for the quoted model, manufacturing entity and scope. For applicable product models, CE-marked configurations can be sourced on request, subject to confirmation in the quotation and provision of the corresponding EU Declaration of Conformity. Equipment can be configured against applicable IEC requirements and the approved project specification; identify any mandatory destination-market approval before ordering.
How is production lead time determined?
Production lead time depends on the configuration, quantity, approval cycle, inspection scope and component availability. The target schedule is stated in the quotation, reconfirmed after technical and commercial agreement, and may change if the approved scope changes.
Which payment methods and terms are available?
We accept T/T, L/C and other payment methods agreed in the contract. The formal quotation or contract confirms the currency, payment schedule, balance trigger, bank-charge responsibilities and any documentary requirements.
Inspection & Delivery
Can we arrange FAT, video inspection or third-party inspection?
Yes—witnessed FAT, live video inspection and third-party inspection can be arranged when the inspection plan, notice period, acceptance criteria, additional testing, schedule impact and third-party costs are agreed before order confirmation. Routine factory tests follow the applicable product scope.
Which documents are provided with the equipment?
The supplied document package includes a product certificate of conformity, an operation manual and a packing list, together with any other customer-required documents agreed in the contract. Depending on the project scope, it may also include approved drawings, nameplate data, routine-test reports and agreed compliance records. The required language, format, number of copies and destination-specific records should be confirmed during quotation; the quotation-stage datasheet records the selected configuration and parameters.
Can export documents, packing and shipping be arranged?
Yes—export documents, export packing and shipping coordination can be included under the agreed Incoterm. The quotation identifies the delivery point, included documents, freight scope, insurance responsibility and any items to be handled by the buyer or its forwarder.
Warranty & After-Sales
How are the warranty period and warranty coverage confirmed?
The product warranty period is 18 months from the contract signing date. Warranty coverage and claim handling follow the contract. A reported issue is assessed against the approved specification, operating records and contractual warranty conditions. Damage caused by incorrect storage, installation, operation, unauthorized modification or external events is handled separately from manufacturing defects.
Do you provide installation and commissioning guidance?
Installation and commissioning support is normally provided remotely. We can send personnel to site when agreed, with the customer bearing the corresponding service, travel, accommodation, visa and other related costs. Availability, destination, site safety conditions and the scope of work must be confirmed in advance. Installation and energization must be performed by authorized personnel under the approved project procedures and local rules.
What should we do if damage is found during delivery?
Before unpacking or moving the equipment, photograph the damage, notify the carrier and retain the packing. Send us the order reference, packing identification, delivery documents and photographs so responsibility and next steps can be assessed promptly.
What information should be provided when reporting a technical problem?
Send the project or order number, equipment model, nameplate and serial number, operating conditions, event details, alarms or protection indications, photos or video and any available test readings. If there is a safety concern, isolate the equipment and follow the approved site procedure before further inspection or energization.
Are spare parts and technical support available after warranty?
Yes—technical review and spare-part identification remain available after warranty. Provide the nameplate, component label and photographs so compatibility and availability can be checked; price, delivery time and service cost depend on the model, component lifecycle and the request.
